Age UK Wolverhampton is a local independent charity that needs your donations to help us continue to support people living in Wolverhampton, who are aged 50 years and over.
Since the COVID pandemic, our services have never been more in demand and we are determined to continue to be there for older people, particularly the ones who have no one else to turn to. To do this we need your donations to enable us to provide the following vital services:
- Information and Advice - our team of experienced advisers can help older people and their carers/relatives to navigate and access services that are available within Wolverhampton and to help them claim for benefits that they may be entitled to.
- Handyperson Service - provides help to carry out DIY jobs, energy checks/advice and small gardening jobs to enable older people to stay safe and well within their homes.
- Telephone Support Service - offers lonely and isolated older people weekly telephone calls from Age UK Wolverhampton volunteers, providing friendship and support.
- Friendship/Veteran Groups - by attending one of our groups, which meet in and around Wolverhampton, older people can connect and make new friends.
- Word of Mouth Traders Booklet - with the help of Trading Standards, this list of local trusted traders has been compiled and is available free to all people in Wolverhampton. The booklet gives older people peace of mind and helps them avoid rogue traders.
