Abused Men in Scotland (AMIS) supports anyone who identifies as a man and is experiencing or recovering from domestic abuse. We also provide assistance to family members, friends, and professionals who are supporting men and their children through these experiences.
Our support is client-led and confidential. Our support may include but is not limited to; emotional support, legal information, safety planning, and signposting to relevant services.
We run a helpline and email support service from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM. Additionally, we offer training and awareness-raising sessions for organisations seeking to improve their understanding of men's experience of domestic abuse and enhance their support practices.
AMIS also provides various volunteering opportunities for individuals who want to learn more and contribute their time to supporting men affected by domestic abuse.
You can contact our helpline at 0330 094 9395 or email us at support@amis.org.uk, where one of our dedicated support officers will be ready to listen and help.
