Lamberhurst Bonfire Society has, for many years provided a bonfire festival and firework display on/around the 5th November in the village of Lamberhurst. Traditionally there has been no charge for the display and the Society has raised funds by cash collections on the night and other activities.

Whilst all volunteers staging the event give their services for free, the society still has to pay for a professional firework display and First Aid support services.

Without the revenue from the Society's fundraising activities and donations, the festival and firework display would be no longer viable.

Similar local event stypically charge around £35 for a for a family of 4 to attend. We only ask you to pay what you can afford to help in staging future events

These days people are, more and more, living a 'cashless' life and they may not come along to the display with old-fashioned money in their pockets to drop into our collectors' buckets! As an alternative, we would love you to contribute here online... then come along and enjoy the evening - safe in the knowledge that you have contributed to making sure it will all happen again next year - bigger and better than ever!

All income is distributed for the purpose of improving the facilities of the festival anddisplay and, from time to time, such other charitable purposes for the residents of the Parish.

The purpose of this campaign is to allow encourage people to also contribute online at a time when they have become used to 'cashless' transactions in their everyday lives.
