The community space for the village of Lamberhurst in Kent. The hall was built in 1919/20 to commemorate the villagers who fell in the Great War. Since then it has become the venue for everything from fitness and dance classes to the village pantomime and community cinema. It serves villagers both as a community space and a venue for family celebrations and the like. Held in trust for the village and run by a committee of trustees - all volunteers.
In 2023, It's time to give our hall a makeover!
We want to CENTRE the hall in the village. We want to
Conserve, ENhance, Transform and REnew
our hall with improved facilities, improved storage and a bright new clean appearance! We have already started with new Velux windows and improved heating and lighting in the main hall. These projects have been supported by substantial grants...but grants are getting harder to obtain. So we now appealing to people to help with raising money through events and activities in the village or even making donations to our Improvement fund.
