Our Goal: A Warmer, Greener Future for our temple with new Boiler Plant.

Currently, your Mandir is facing challenge in running hot water and heating in the main hall and dining area. We are running this campaign and request for your support in a vital project. 


We are embarking on an appeal to install a modern, energy-efficient heating system. This new system will:

  1. Ensure a welcoming, warm, and safe environment for all worshippers, especially our elderly and children.
  2. Lower our carbon footprint by opting for sustainable heating technology.
  3. Reduce maintenance costs, allowing more of our funds to go toward community outreach rather than repairs.
  4. Ensure running hot water for all toilets and other taps.

High level estimates :

  1. Boiler Plant: £38,000.
  2. Heating systems for one of the halls: £5,000

Note: Temple Charity is Gift Aid registered and you may be eligible for tax deductions as a UK tax payer. If you own a company, you may be able to save Corporation tax.

Project Update

✅ Old gravity-fed cold water tanks are now being decommissioned.

✅ New pressurised cold water system has been commissioned. You should already notice a significant improvement in water pressure at the hand wash areas, dishwashing area, and the toilets on both the ground and first floors—even when multiple taps are in use simultaneously.

✅ We are deeply grateful to a number of generous devotees who have made substantial donations towards this project outside of the online fundraising appeal.

✅ Despite this generous support, we still need to raise approximately £16,000 to complete the project.

✅ We are also looking for a sponsor for the tiles for the Lower Ground Floor. If you would like to sponsor this, please message me privately.

Dear all devotees

We are running this campaign to ask for your support in a vital project in the temple.

Background: For close to a decade, Venkatakrushna Vrundavana (VKV) - a charitable trust registered with charity commission with Reg No: 1182268; has been a beacon of peace, spirituality, and community connection for all of Hindus/Sanatanis within UK. Whether it is for daily Aarti, special festivals, or community gatherings, or private events, our temple provides a sacred space for all.

New Premise: As you are all aware, back in Dec 2024, our charitable trust has acquired new premises of our own - in St Albans (1, Beaconsfield Road, AL1 3RD). 

Challenge: However, our beloved temple faces a challenge.

  1. Our current heating plant is failing, causing uncomfortable, cold environments during the winter months, and making it difficult to host community gatherings safely and warmly.
  2. Also, we have technical challenges with Gas pipe system in the kitchen coupled with lack of hot water which is causing challenges for volunteers who help temple on regular basis.
