Welcome to the British Deer Society's Winter Auction 2026. We have 24 lots to appeal to avid outdoor enthusiasts, from stalking a Japanese sika stag on the Scottish Boarders to a dawn and dusk stalk on the Crown Estate, Windsor.

The British Deer Society’s vision is to create a world where wild deer are valued and respected, face minimal threats to their welfare and exist in harmony with their environment while supporting an ethical and sustainable food sector.

Knowing where we want to be is the easy part, though. Getting there successfully is an entirely different story.

Deer play an important role in the UK’s landscapes, ecosystems and rural communities. The funds raised through BDS Online Charity Auctions help support the work of the British Deer Society and our long-term vision, Together for Deer.

The British Deer Society (BDS) is the UK’s only charity dedicated to wild deer. We educate and inspire people, advocate for informed and responsible management, and champion deer welfare to ensure wild deer thrive in harmony with their environment whilst also supporting more ethical, sustainable food systems. Through research, training, advocacy, and public engagement, BDS promotes responsible deer management, ensuring their welfare and ecological balance. The Charity provides expert-led courses, publishes authoritative guidance, and works closely with government bodies, landowners, and conservation organisations. By raising awareness, providing education, and supporting scientific research, the Charity plays a vital role in safeguarding the future of the UK’s wild deer population for generations to come.

Lot 1. Doe stalking, Perth

Doe season stalking - two outings in March 2027, mixed farmland and woods, Perth, Scotland.

Can be used as training, guided stalks or by special arrangement witnessed stalks for DSC2, but there will be a fee for the DSC2. Carcasses retained by Estate but may be purchased by the stalker.
