Whitchurch Whippets to run for 3 days in support of Whitchurch Foodbank

Members of the Whitchurch Whippets running club will be undertaking a continuous relay day & night from 5am on Saturday 6 May through until the evening of Bank Holiday Monday 8 May. All the money raised from this event will be donated to the Whitchurch Foodbank. The Whippets did a similar fund raiser post the COVID lock-down and raised over £1700.

The event is a virtual relay where the members each sign up for a time slot running at least 45mins each throughout the 3 days.

Whitchurch Foodbank don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
