On 8th October, Fire Fighters from the crew at Kibworth Fire and Rescue Station in Leicestershire will be attempting to climb Mount Snowdon wearing full Fire Kit in a bid to raise money for charity. They have set a sponsorship target of £1,085, £1 for each metre climbed to the summit of the Welsh mountain. The money raised will be donated to The Fire Fighters Charity and The Well Kibworth.
The Fire Fighters Charity is a cause that works to support firefighters and their families mentally, physically and socially if they need help.
The Well Kibworth is a registered charity operating a food bank, café, charity shop and community support offering friendship and practical support for everyone in Kibworth and surrounding villages which supports Leicestershire Fire and Rescues aim of creating 'safer people, safer places'.
