Better gaining and sharing of knowledge between our parents and carers which can be used to further enhance the education/learning of individuals with. D.S. Other benefits are improved community involvement, social integration with their peers hence increased preservation of their health, improved stress and anxiety levels and improved behaviour, enhancing inclusion in mainstream society. Further benefits are protection of our individuals with. D.S. human rights and improved equality within our schools and society as a whole. Overall improving their quality of life. These benefits are demonstrated through feedback from parents and carers at our monthly meetings, also by regular parent/teacher meetings on our kids progress and at annual reviews in schools. Also by regular reviews by health care professionals(eg speech and language therapists). There is no harm in providing this education and support for parents and carers of individuals with. D.S. The benef iciaries of this purpose are individuals with Downs Syndrome and their families and carers living in the causeway are and it's environs of Co.Antrim and. Co. Londonderry.
