Every £2 entry goes directly towards helping local people facing crisis across Huddersfield and the surrounding areas.


The The Welcome Centre is one of the largest independent food banks in the UK. In the last month alone, we:


Provided 1,050 crisis food packs

Distributed enough food for 28,399 meals

Supported 998 people, including 328 children


But we are much more than a food bank.


Alongside emergency food and essential items such as toiletries, hygiene packs, cleaning products and home starter packs, we delivered 1,216 support sessions last month through our dedicated Advice, Guidance and Support Service.


Our team works closely with people to help them build a path towards independence and reduce reliance on food banks. This support includes:


Budgeting and income maximisation

Debt and fuel support

Confidence building

Housing and homelessness support

Assistance for rough sleepers in finding temporary accommodation

Referrals for mental health and addiction services

Support for people fleeing domestic abuse


Every raffle ticket purchased helps make this vital work possible.

The Welcome Centre is the largest independent food bank in the UK. We help local families and individuals in crisis with food, toiletries, and other essential items. But we also provide advice, guidance, and support to address underlying issues. We want to improve the quality of life of those experiencing extreme disadvantage in our community by providing practical support.
