At The Welcome Centre, we know that hunger is often just one symptom of a deeper crisis. That’s why we go beyond food, offering support through our dedicated Advice, Guidance & Support Service. Whether someone is facing eviction, fleeing domestic violence, struggling with their mental health, or dealing with the complex effects of poverty, we’re here to help.

We work closely with local partners across South Kirklees to provide joined-up, compassionate support that empowers people to move forward not just get by.

What does a raffle ticket mean?

It means more than just a shot at a prize. It means a neighbour gets help navigating a benefits claim. A family has somewhere to turn during a housing crisis. A survivor of abuse is supported to rebuild.

The Welcome Centre

The Welcome Centre is the largest independent food bank in the UK. We help local families and individuals in crisis with food, toiletries, and other essential items. But we also provide advice, guidance, and support to address underlying issues. We want to improve the quality of life of those experiencing extreme disadvantage in our community by providing practical support.
