MYReFactory are specialists in recycling waste considered ‘hard to recycle’. Through their innovative recycling facilities, they rework and transform waste material – especially plastics and textiles, into new products – closing the loop on recycling. Their product range includes plastic box scheme collections and upcycled products from “waste”.

They are offering the winner’s nominated school a collection of furniture made from 100% recycled plastics including a bookcase, two sets of tables and chairs and two planters.

Buy a raffle ticket for your chance to nominate one of the schools that HEY Children's University work with to receive a MYReFactory school furniture bundle! The winning ticket holder will be provided with a list of schools to choose from. 

All money raised from the raffle will go to HEY Children's University and our mission to provide primary school children living in the most disadvantaged areas across the region with unique learning experiences, that many wouldn’t have the opportunity to experience otherwise. Through our specially designed learning experiences, children are encouraged to believe in themselves, learn new skills to help them succeed in the future and open their eyes to every path that they could take. We inspire dreams for their futures, as many don’t have any.

HEY Children's University

Hull and East Yorkshire (HEY) Children's University is a local charity that strives to give every child the opportunities they deserve, no matter what circumstances they were born into. Many children around Hull and the East Riding do not have the same opportunities that other children have in the UK. Many have never been much further than the street in which they live and some children will never visit another city until they reach adulthood. Because of this, some children don't have any aspirations for the future. Society places a huge importance on academic success- but what about those children that don't excel in academia? HEY Children's University believes that every child is brilliant at something, and that might be something different to academic talent. But how can those children find out their unique talents if they don't have the opportunity to try new things? HEY Children's University gives local children the opportunities that they otherwise wouldn't have and gives them the chance to discover their interests and talents- the chance to create their own dreams. The charity aims to light up every path that a child could take and show them their options. The charity works with primary school aged children who attend the schools that are in some of the highest areas of deprivation in the country. This includes 46 of the 71 primary schools in Hull. The charity also work with schools in the East Riding which are situated in areas of rural deprivation. HEY Children's University offers a diverse range of experiences that are designed to raise aspirations, confidence and self esteem. Some of these experiences include days at local businesses where the children learn about the industry, meet the staff and take part in a range of activities. The charity also gives children the chance to visit other cities such as London and Edinburgh, offering sleepovers in exciting venues such as the Natural History Museum and the HMS Belfast battleship.
