Join us for a gentle, family-friendly walk through nature, inspired by the spirit of Sewa — a Sanskrit term meaning "selfless service to humanity and nature."
On Sunday 19 July 2026, HSS (UK) hosts a Community Family Charity Walk at Dinton Pastures Country Park, Hurst. Registration 8:30–9:00am, walk starts 9:00am — an easy, flat 3.5-mile lakeside loop suitable for all ages and buggies.
All funds raised go directly to Daisy's Dream, a Berkshire charity supporting bereaved children and families. In 2025 alone they supported 972 people — including 426 children and young people, 323 parents and carers, and 223 professionals — and provided 2,556 hours of support. They receive no statutory funding or government grants.
As one parent shared: "This remarkable charity has been an invaluable source of support for my two children... their support worker has built a trusting relationship with both, helping them express their feelings... their assistance has made a significant difference in our lives."
Inspired by this term, HSS (UK) fundraises for small to medium-sized charities close to our neighbourhoods, and occasionally supports major disaster appeals. These charities do amazing work, but most do not often get national attention.
As part of our drive to support community-based charitable causes, each of our regions across over 65 towns and cities aims to support at least one local charity.
Every contribution changes lives: £10 funds a memory jar, £60 funds a 1:1 therapeutic session, and £360 funds the six sessions a child typically needs.
Together, we can turn a family day out into real, lasting support. Please support generously! Thank you.
*All donations will be donated to the selected charity. The Gift Aid portion shall be used for the minimal expenses incurred, such as printing and any other administrative costs incurred by HSS (UK).
