FWT Suilven Challenge

Story

I'm Tessa and I've been involved with Faith Welfare Trust (FWT) for over 35 years. As a trustee I've visited India over 15 times and seen at first hand how the lives of the children supported by FWT are radically changed. From being dogged by poverty, abuse and tragedy, they grow into a future full of promise - healthy, well educated, safe and brought up in a loving environment.

They have a mountain to climb to overcome the obstacles facing them and FWT's support makes the journey possible. FWT provides all the funding for 2 children's homes and a school for 250 disadvantaged children but costs continue to rise.

I'm climbing this amazing mountain (Suilven in North West Scotland) to reach a new generation of donors who will enable FWT to change the life stories of many more children!  Will you be one of them?

100% of the money I raise will go straight to India to support the children and your donation will make a difference.

FWT

FWT"s mission is to give children of poor and destitute families a good start in life, providing housing, food, care and a good education which will help them to break out of the poverty trap. We do this by funding: a boys' and a girls' home, located near Chennai, Tamil Nadu, where around 50 children (orphans, semi-orphans and destitute) are cared for in a loving Christian environment, and: a school at Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, where over 300 children from the poor areas of town receive a free English-medium education and free lunch everyday.
