Fundraiser - Scafell Pike hike for GMAVSG

Story

I am undertaking a charity climb of Scafell Pike on Friday 12th June alongside 7 colleagues from Barclays in support of the Greater Manchester Asbestos Support Group.

The charity provides support and guidance to individuals diagnosed with asbestos-related diseases such as mesothelioma and lung cancer. This cause is particularly meaningful to me, as it has affected colleagues families I work with.

Any contribution towards this cause would be greatly appreciated and will go directly to helping the charity continue its important work.

Greater Manchester Asbestos Victims Support Group - GMAVSG - offers free and independent advice on benefits and compensation to people with asbestos-related diseases and their families. GMAVSG also campaigns for on local, national and international issues that affect asbestos victims and their families. GMAVSG organises occasional events which highlight the dangers of asbestos, and publicise research and treatments to assist people with asbestos-related diseases. GMAVSG supports two groups: one for families bereaved because a family member has died from an asbestos-related disease; the other, run with Mesothelioma UK, for people with an asbestos-related disease.
