At a time when the world feels somewhat wonky and forces at play trying to increase division, fear and hate, it feels so important to look to those who stand in the way and honour and respect all of humanity. My name is Dana and I'm a GP working with people experiencing homelessness.
It's therefore a great honour to join the Museum of Homelessness community on the 2026 Human Rights Night Walk. Along with others, I will be walking through the night from Brixton to Finsbury Park (12 miles). In the words of MoH: "About 50 people will walk 12 miles through the night, taking in places and spaces in London that relate to the rich human rights related histories layered through London’s streets.
From the black dog of Newgate to the Gay Liberation Front, we’ll be honouring Human Rights Giants and following in the footsteps of those who have risen up through the centuries."
This is also a fundraising walk to raise vital funds for the Museum's work: "In the last year the museum provided 4620 hot meals with the community and provided 101 warm beds through its emergency shelter. The museum provides about 7598 hours of employment per year for people coming out of homelessness, poverty or addiction. Donations also support the museum’s independent investigations, research and campaigning work."
Thank you for supporting, via good vibes and solidarity, by donating or by sharing the fundraising page and the work and community of the incredible MoH https://museumofhomelessness.org/
