Gayhurst Runs for Books / Hackney Schools Challenge

Gayhurst is fundraising to buy more books for the school Library and our book corners.

This term, our Year 5 and 6 children are taking part in the HOKA Hackney Schools’ Challenge which is a youth running program which is part of the HOKA Hackney Moves Festival.

The programme gives local primary school children of all abilities their chance to shine on the HOKA Hackney Half finish line.

For The Schools’ Challenge, pupils will cover as many miles as they can in the lead up to the event, either at home or at school. The final mile of the challenge takes place from 10:00 on Saturday 16th May at the Hackney Marshes.

We are very proud of the effort our runners have been making in their training each week!

Please consider sponsoring your child to help us raise funds so that the School can update the books available in the Library and in each classroom's book corner.

Thank you so much for any support you can give.

Optionally, you can save your purchase to your account by Signing in.

Gayhurst School Library

COGS (Community of Gayhurst School)

It works to enrich the experience of the pupils at Gayhurst by developing a strong, effective relationship between the staff, parents and others associated with the school. Through its involvement in activities and organising events it supports the school by providing facilities or equipment to create an exciting and stimulating environment which will enhance the childrens’ learning. The funds raised by COGS are intended to provide ‘extras’ not already provided by the schools main budget. It is a registered charity and is run and organised on a voluntary basis.
