Fundraiser - Dave - Fareham and Crofton CC U18s South Africa Tour 2026

Story

Dave plays a key role with the new ball, aiming to break partnerships early and give the team momentum from the very first over. Known for his attacking mindset and willingness to take on any challenge, he brings energy, competitiveness and humour to the squad, even if he jokes that he’s collected more ducks than runs along the way.

With England star Liam Livingstone as his cricketing inspiration, Dave is looking forward to testing himself in unfamiliar conditions, growing his confidence, and contributing to the team’s success on and off the field.

South Africa Tour 2027 - Fareham and Crofton Cricket Club

In February 2027, the Fareham & Crofton Cricket Club U18s will embark on a once-in-a-lifetime tour to Cape Town, South Africa. From the 13th February to 22nd February, the squad will take part in competitive fixtures against local opposition, alongside training, cultural exchange, and community engagement activities.

This tour is about more than cricket. It is designed to develop our young players as athletes and individuals, building resilience, teamwork, global awareness, and a strong sense of giving back.

As part of the tour, we are proudly supporting two charities:

The Elizabeth Foundation – a Portsmouth-based charity supporting deaf children and their families.

CATCH Trust – a South African charity founded by Gary Kirsten, using cricket to create opportunity and life skills in under-resourced communities.
