Story

People seeking safety should not be housed in camps, which are incredibly inhumane and undignified. People being accommodated at Crowborough Camp are in urgent need of your support. Many of the people that are moved to the camp are new to the UK and may only have the one set of clothes that they arrived in, and many will not have suitable clothing for the cold weather, such as a coat or proper shoes. We are fundraising to provide suitable clothing and other essential items in our Welcome Packs, as well as to ensure we can host lessons and social activities for people navigating this hostile environment.

Navigating the asylum process in the UK can be an incredibly challenging experience, and therefore we need the help of local communities to support those seeking asylum. Please donate to help deliver vital services and provide essential items.

Care4Calais

Care4Calais is a volunteer-run charity delivering essential aid and support to refugees living in the UK, and Northern France. We believe in a fair and tolerant British society and advocate for a welcoming and inclusive attitude towards refugees. Operating year round from Calais, our focus is to provide warm clothing, bedding, food and medical assistance to people in desperate need. We also provide social support and interaction, including language lessons and sports and music workshops. We are on the ground with the refugees every single day and are respectful of their common humanity and responsive to their needs.
