We're trying to raise £2,000 so that we can provide a fully accessible, supported, and subsidised coach trip for our members.
Whenever we ask our members what additional services they would like us to provide, the answer is always the same: A day trip!
Our members are all adults who are learning disabled, autistic or both learning disabled and autistic. Many of them do not have opportunities to go out for day trips like this, based on their support needs, and the accessibility of public transport, not to mention the inhibitive cost.
In 2025 we raised enough money to plan a trip to The Deep in Hull and it was a FANTASTIC outing. We would love it to become an annual event, but this relies on raising £2,000 each year.
We haven't decided where we will go this year, but there are lots of ideas flying about, including theme parks, a trip to the coast, and a museum visit.
The Lightbulb Club is our Member Forum, which is chaired by our Member Ambassadors. It is their idea and they steer the project with their ideas and opinons.
