Story

On average, 127 children in the UK are bereaved of a parent every day. I am walking 127km each month of 2026 to raise money for Wiltshire Treehouse

The Challenge: 127km “boots on” walking or hiking every month. Minimum distance 7.5km, dedicated walks only. Routine stepcount/distance does not count towards total.

Why is this a challenge for me?

Last year I sustained injuries that stopped me walking distances for several months. It meant I couldn’t even walk the 1km school run without extreme pain. Recovery is ongoing. The challenge includes a 100km 2-day walk and other long distance events. All-weather walking, lots of hills and plenty of being outside of my comfort zone!
