Story

50 Half Marathons - 50 Weeks - £50K at 50!

Because every step can change a life.

As I turn 50 and prepare for my 8th full marathon (Tokyo Mar 26), I’m not slowing down—in fact, I’m picking up the pace.

From May 25 to April 26, I’ll be running 50 half marathons in 50 weeks, starting with:

 • Birmingham Half Marathon – 4th May

 • Manchester Half Marathon – 18th May

I’ll be running local routes weekly and taking part in organised events every month or so. Watch my Strava for update and this page.

Why? Because I want to make a real impact at 50, especially when I still feel 30!

I’m running for Sewa UK and Lepra UK, incredible charities making a real difference across the world. Your support will help:

 • Children with disabilities and their families, providing vital therapies, emotional and educational support

 • Cochlear implants for children, plus speech therapy and training for mothers

 • Education for tribal girls in Rajasthan

 • Knowledge on Wheels 1 a mobile classroom bringing education to children in remote Indian villages

 • Medic4Sewa - bringing essential healthcare and surgeries to underserved communities in Chitrakoot, India

  • Lepra UK supporting Lepra Society in India to eradicate Leprosy. Support families and communities in removing the stigma to be empowered in mainstream society.

 • And so much more…

I’m not running for medals.

I’m running for purpose, for kids who face more in one day than most of us do in a year.

Let’s turn 650 miles into life-changing impact in 2025/26 and end the challenge with London Mararthon in Apr 26!

Please support these powerful cause at: www.sewauk.org and www.lepra.org.uk

Thank you for being part of the journey.
