Support our Sassy Walkers and help fight Batten Disease.

On 26th September 2026, our amazing team of Sassy Walkers will take on one of three challenge walks from Swanage - the Sassy Seasiders Walk of 4km, the Sassy Celebration Walk of 21km or the Sassy Challenge Walk of 21 miles - all to raise vital awareness and funds for children living with Batten Disease.

This is the main annual fundraising event of the charity which will enable grants to assist families to care for their children. Grants provide for vital home adaptations and equipment such as seizure monitors, specialist wheelchairs, mobility aids and technology.

The Sassy Walk was inspired by Annabelle, a courageous young girl who, along with her younger brother, was diagnosed with Batten Disease. Annabelle sadly passed away in January 2024, but her dream of raising awareness and helping others lives on through this event and the charity she named: Batten Fighters Forever (BFF).

Batten Fighters Forever

Batten Fighters Forever (BFF) is focussed on raising awareness of Batten Disease and the support needs of children and families with Batten Disease. BFF will provide grants to directly assist children and families as well as other charities and organisations providing support.
