Join us for a guided walk with Graham Sample along the banks of Faversham Creek, exploring the stories, industries, and people that shaped the town. The Creek has been at the heart of Faversham’s life for centuries, yet much of its history now lies hidden from view.
Bring your imagination with you. As we walk, you’ll discover how small clues in the landscape reveal a remarkable past — from shipbuilding and trade to explosives, oysters, and everyday working life.
One thing is certain: the Town and Port of Faversham would never have existed without its Creek.
The walk starts at 3pm at the Purifier Building, behind Home Bargains, and will last for approximately 60 minutes. Please note: you will be unable to park at the Home Bargains carpark without incurring a parking fine. You can park in Flood Lane or Brent Road.
