Leaving the Memorial Gardens at 9.15, we will travel by coach to Hull, first visiting the Ferens Art Gallery to see its remarkable collection of Old Master paintings, together with its fine examples of modern and contemporary art. Light refreshment will be available in the gallery café or nearby.
After a lunch break, we will walk the short distance (about 15 minutes) to Wilberforce House with its historic association with the abolition of the slave trade. We will leave here about 4pm for the return journey to York.
Note: There is currently no date available for the reopening of Wilberforce House and a substitute venue may be necessary.
