After the success of last years event, our Christmas Santa Drop is back!

Back by popular demand:  Our Christmas Santa Drop!  Take on this magnificent challenge this Christmas and you'll be raising vital funds for our Kidney Community here in Wales.

The abseil will take place down the Newport's most iconic landmark, The Transporter Bridge.  See the sites of Newport from a great height this Christmas.  The abseil will take place on the Pill (West) side of the bridge.  You will climb the 278 steps before abseiling 'free fall' from the boom (platform) to the car park below.

This event will fully comply with local Coronavirus restrictions at the time.  Full guidance will be provided to each participant prior to the event.  However in addition some measures that will be put in place regardless to keep all participants safe will include:

  • Each participant will have a designated start time (from 9am)  and will be asked to adhere to all safety measures
  • Instructors managing the ropes will be sanitising between participants and wearing masks and / or visors if required and safe to do so.
  • Instructors on the ground will be wearing face masks if required and socially distancing where safe and possible
  • Sanitising mandatory before and after all participants

The Cost to take part in our 'Santa Drop' charity Abseil is £30 per person (non refundable), and we kindly ask that you set yourself a minimum fundraising target of £70. The minimum age to take part is 14 years.

Your entry fee will help us cover the cost of the event, therefore by endeavouring to raise as much sponsorship as possible with this mammoth challenge you will help us continue our vital work supporting our Kidney Community here in Wales.
