For many of the children we support, getting to school means walking long distances every day — often over rough ground, in all weather. A good pair of shoes isn’t a luxury for them; it’s essential.

Cherish the Children works with local makers to produce strong, comfortable school shoes that last. Each pair costs £12, and every pair is made locally, supporting families and small community businesses.

By donating £12, you’re giving a child the chance to walk to school safely, comfortably, and with dignity. It’s a small gift that makes a big difference to their daily life and their education.

We support the education of children living in the socially and economically deprived areas in, Nakuru, Kenya and the Cherish School through the provision of funding to support new schools and develop existing schools. Financial support is also provided for individuals to access or continue with their education.
