Despite being one of the poorest countries in the world, Nepal is one that is visited by large numbers of tourists every year. This is largely due to having within its boundaries, Mount Everest, the world's highest mountain. The income from tourism however, is not sufficient to fund the vast amount of development that is required to improve living standards and to match the educational opportunities enjoyed by children in developed nations.
Children of Nepal aims to make a direct impact on the people in Nepal with whom we work. Every penny raised goes directly to the projects in Nepal. Since 1997, Children of Nepal has funded 91 projects at 72 different schools in the Gaidakot region.
Children of Nepal is based in the United Kingdom where we raise funds through a variety of activities, including an annual Sponsored Bike Ride and Walk and numerous donations, from Europe and around the world.
